Ce superbe dessin fut réalisé par mon regretté cousin Pierre qui me l'offrit pour un anniversaire.
Pierre, tout ce que je te souhaite, c'est que là où tu es, tu l'as rencontré le grand Phil à qui tu rendais déjà hommage de façon très talentueuse.

Il y a quelques semaines :

Philomena Lynott, la maman du grand Phil, qui comme elle le précise dans l'article suivant, s'est souvent fait cambrioler plusieurs fois mais qui a toujours su préserver l'héritage de son fils en dissimulant les souvenirs de son fils, a confié hier au Musée du Rock And Roll Irlandais qui a ouvert ses portes la semaine dernière, une guitare (que l'on voit d'ailleurs sur le clip de King's Call extrait de son premier album solo Solo In Soho, titre joué en compagnie de Mark Knopfler), une collection de disques d'or, quatre blousons de cuir et des souvenirs d'école.








(Je me disais que je connaissais l'emplacement de ce musée puisque j'y suis passé l'année dernière).

Phil Lynott's mother Philomena has presented new memorabilia of her son, including three of his prized guitars, to Dublin's Rock `n' Roll Museum. The artefacts also include a school report showing that Phil was something of a maths whizz.

Philomena, accompanied by an armed escort, made the presentation at the museum in Temple Bar earlier today. Three of Phil's guitars, on which he recorded many of Thin Lizzy's best known songs, four of his beloved leather jackets, and a collection of gold discs will now be on exhibit in the newly-opened museum.

The new treasure trove of Phil and Lizzy lore also includes a school report that reveals that Phil, who died aged 36 in 1986, got a mark of 88% in arithmetic when he was a schoolboy.

Speaking to TEN after the presentation, Philomena said: "It was just so good to know that Philip's prized possessions are now safe. I had a solid gold friend minding them for the past two years because my house had been burgled but luckily they didn't find Philip's things. It is a great feeling to know that his fans from all over the world will have a chance to look at his guitars again.

She added: "I spent a long time with a duster shining them up this morning and I can tell you Philip used to shine those guitars himself. In fact, he would put a mirror on the guitars and every time I went to see him play in concert he would make sure I had a front row seat or a balcony seat and he would get the lighting man to shine on that mirror on his guitar and he would direct it at me! He nearly blinded me! After seeing him so many times in concert, I have to say he nearly deafened me too!"

The guitars and memorabilia will be curated in the Apollo studio as part of the Rock `n' Roll Museum's permanent Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy exhibit. Apollo Studio is the studio where Phil recorded his last ever single.

The museum opened last week and Director Paddy Dunning says he plans to put out a nationwide call for Irish musicians to donate artefacts and memorabilia in the coming weeks.

L'idée d'un biopic consacré à Phil Lynott avec Gary Dourdan dans le rôle principal, ne verra décidément jamais le jour car les membres du groupe ont accusé les réalisateurs de vouloir faire du "sensationnel" en tablant sur les abus de Lynott. Le groupe rajoute en dépit du fait qu'il s'agit d'un élément essentiel dans la carrière de Lynott, qu'ils auraient dû davantage se concentrer sur la musique qu'il avait composée. Par contre, si le script est ré-écrit, les musiciens donneront leur aval pour que le film soit réalisé.

A Hollywood movie based on the life of late THIN LIZZY frontman/bassist Phil Lynott has been shelved - after surviving band members accused filmmakers of sensationalizing the star's drug abuse.

Lynott died of heart failure and pneumonia on January 4, 1986 at the age of 36, after years of alcohol and drug abuse.

A biopic, starring CSI actor Gary Dourdan in the lead role, was set to be shot - but the project has now been halted after Thin Lizzy's remaining members expressed their concerns.

And guitarist Scott Gorham insisted the movie's directors will not win their approval until the script is completely rewritten.

He said: "It's an ongoing saga because when we looked at the script, it was full of truths and half-truths and Hollywood's take on Phil's life was all about drugs.

"Of course there were drugs - that's the sensational side of Thin Lizzy - but when the movie absolutely centered on that it became a problem.

"We want to veer people towards the music of Phillo and Thin Lizzy because he was a remarkable songwriter, musician and performer.

"There was a lot more to Phil and the band than just taking drugs. It irritates me that the personal stuff overshadows the musical legacy. You only get one shot at getting a movie right. We won't give it the green light until everyone is happy."

C'est plutôt les trois barbus qui ont copié dessus puisque leur logo est apparu en 1983 sur Eliminator tandis que Lizzy a fait apparaître leur logo si caractéristique sur le verso de Nightlife soit donc en 1974.

Harry Street !!!!!!!!!. C'est en effet là que la statue de Phil Lynott inaugurée en 2005, se dresse fièrement à côté d'un bar "Le Bruxelles". L'émotion est bien évidemment présente et là, je mitraille cette oeuvre d'art ô combien magnifique. Je le reconnais, j'attendais ça depuis très longtemps.
